Sunday, November 16th, 2008

30 odd magnum photographers tell us how they got interested in photography and offer advice on how to be a better photographer . Visit the magnum blog here for the lowdown.

One question. Why advice to young photographers?.  Why do you have to be young to aspire to be a photographer  ?

How about some advice for thirtysomething photographers :) Start with me. Check my site and give me some feedback.

Best of Show IPA 2008

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Just got back after having a great time in NY . Met some really nice people like Master Printer Richard Jackson of Hance Partners ( Steve McCurrys printers !) at the exhibition and good old Bruce Field, the man to go to if you want to buy an ebony View Camera (  Simon Norfolk is a client). So if you want to shoot with the same camera as Mr Norfolk give Bruce a call.

It was an honour to have been chosen for the Best of Show and it was a real surprise to be mentioned in the Intro by Bill Hunt Himself.

Richard Daniels’, Black and White Seeming abstractions…With Still life and landscape there is an overlap , a regard for boldness, verging on rudeness and simplicity .Genres seem to blend.

WORD. I was sweating on an artists statement, now i have a start :)
