When the Work is good, you will know it – alec soth

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

An interesting post on the 2waylens blog about Alec Soth and advice for  the emerging photographer.

After college, I did five or so projects over the course of ten years. I showed my work locally in Minnesota but knew I wasn’t ready for prime time. Full story here.

This ten year plus reference seems to tally with The Story of Success by  Malcolm Gladwell ( see previous post) , in which Gladwell speaks about the amount of time you need to put in to your art before you can achieve greatness.
