“PECKING ORDER”

May 2007.Afghanistan. Friday Bodahna Bird fight, Kabul

In Kabul, bettors engage in what is a widespread (if underground) obsession among many Afghan men: Bodahna bird fighting. The small quail peck at each other until one of the combatants repeatedly runs away. The equivalent of thousands of dollars can change hands.

Living in Switzerland, graduated from the Vevey School of Photography in 2000.

Since then, Dudouit received second place in the Swiss Press Photo in 2003, in 2004 he was the recipient of the KieferHablitzel Art Award and in 2005 he was invited to participate in the World Press Photo Master Class.

Emilio Morenatti (39) began his career in photojournalism at a local newspaper in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, while studying to be a draughtsman. In 1992, he joined Agencia EFE, the leading Spanish news agency, and moved to Sevilla. From there he covered a variety of national and international events, including several Olympic Games and the 2002 Iraq War.
